Meet The Team
Mickie brings her editing gifts to our team, along with a deep love for language, a servant’s heart, and a genuine passion for people. A gifted nurturer, she believes every author deserves to feel encouraged, supported, and valued throughout the publishing journey, and her compassionate spirit and thoughtful guidance create a space where writers can confidently share the stories God has placed on their hearts. That same servant’s heart shows up outside of work too, as she takes care of people and serves families both in her church and on mission trips to Germany. Loyal, faithful, and kind, Mickie approaches every manuscript with excellence and care, protecting each author’s unique voice while helping their message shine. Whether she’s refining a final draft or encouraging a first time writer, Mickie considers it a privilege to use her gifts to glorify God and help bring meaningful, life changing stories into the world.
Tan brings her gift of creativity to our team in a way that touches every project. She is a visionary who designs graphics, builds websites, codes, and creates masterpieces. Her nickname is Tan with the Master Plan. You tell Tan the plan and she makes it GRAND, From book covers to graphics to logos, Tan’s design work carries a signature blend of wisdom and talent that helps every author’s story come to life visually before a single page is even opened. She is gifted to bring your ideas to life.
Beyond the screen, Tan loves to sing and has smooth dance moves like no other. In her free time she loves to travel, ride boats, and ride motorcycles. She has a gift for caring for people and meeting needs wherever she sees them. She loves her family and she’s a giver at heart, with a special love for real estate and helping people find a place to call home, starting with room rentals, house rentals, building, buying, selling, or investing to increase someone's cash flow.She is successful in all she does, Tan pours the same heart and excellence into every project at Zebra Press Co and beyond.
Jonathan has always had a love for books, and it shows in everything he brings to the team. He carries a deep well of wisdom and a genuine love for language, shaped in part by his background in music and business. He learned Spanish in high school, and in recent years, his deep love for God has led him to learn Hebrew so he can better understand God’s word.
Behind the scenes, Jonathan reviews manuscripts, handles formatting, and gets each finished work uploaded to KDP. He is patient, kind, and a hard worker, and he carries a real desire to see other believers step out and share their testimony. Those who know Jonathan best know him as the man with integrity; who takes care of his family and loves them well, always compassionate, funny, and ready with a good laugh. You’ll usually find him with a book in hand, reading and learning.
Angel is a creative who loves encouraging others to use their talents and gifts for their own unique calling. She is a storyteller and she wrote her first book in the fifth grade, a testimony called "Lost in Washington, DC," where she got separated from her teachers and found herself lost. She was even the illustrator of her own book. Her love for books runs deep, and she and her husband Jonathan have spent many dates in bookstores enjoying their love for books together. Jonathan and Angel have many bookshelves in their home filled with amazing books, and they love giving bibles and books away to be a blessing.
She is a faithful encourager with a fun loving personality. She is the author of three books. God has been writing her story and preparing her for the amazing vision He birthed in her and Jonathan's heart to help people publish their story. She has spent years learning the publishing industry hands on, attending writers conferences and summits, collaborating in virtual and in person breakout sessions with like minded colleagues and authors, training and growing alongside them, working with publishers and editors, and was happily employed in a bookstore. Angel is a beloved columnist for Women of Faith, an international women's faith magazine, and Co-Founder of Zebra Press Co. Angel and Jonathan believe they have been called by God to help people tell their stories and turn them into masterpieces, for such a time as this.
Shawn brings more than 30 years of experience in publishing, book retailing, and product development to the Zebra Press Co. team. He served as the President of a children’s book publishing company while also launching the publishing arm of Brookstone Publishing Group before it was acquired. Shawn has brought fiction, nonfiction, YA, and children’s books to market. He coaches speakers and pastors in turning their messages into evergreen book products and ghostwrites for those who need additional support bringing their stories and ideas to the page. Through his collaboration with Zebra Press Co., Shawn brings extensive industry experience, creativity, and a deep understanding of the publishing journey to authors, speakers, and pastors at every stage. His goal is simple: to help people move from the message in their heart to a book that can impact lives for years to come.
